Hello,

I am having trouble turning off the backlight of my Z10. The light stays on all the time. When I lock my phone, the backlight will go off for 2 seconds and then it�ll come back on. I tried playing with all the settings in the options Screen Display, and nothing seems to turn it off. Please help! My OS version is 10.2.1.2977

Have you tried a reboot? (see below)

What model, what country? Is this a new z10 or have you had it a while? Did you install any new apps? What app is in the foreground (active frame?) Any headless apps?


Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above
