    Is there any way to further customize the alert notifications? I'm really disappointed in the limited customizing available. The Z10 is nothing like my old 9650. I hope there's a way....help, anyone

    There are a number of third party apps out there.

    Have a look at Hub++ and Watcher fir starters.
