So we had a family gathering this weekend at my place . Bunch of people sitting around in living room wanted to watch a particular YouTube video . Many of them in the group use Apple, Windows and Android devices.

One of them calls out for a laptop..the other goes upstairs to get the IPAD, and another takes out the Note 2 to show it on his "Big screen ".

I quickly searched the video on YouTube.
Downloaded it using Download Manager app.
With the PlayOn feature on my Z10 sent it to my big screen Samsung in 720p. All in a matter of 2 minutes. Without moving from my couch. . ..

Pretty cool.. specially the expression on folks with "Other" brand name devices...

the play on isnt specific to blackberry, but I must say, it is a nice feature.. now if they could only get the DNLA to work with blackberry world movies I'll be one happy kid

I know..I come from Galaxy S3 and AllShare...I find this a bit more fluid.

Does your TV have a Wifi capabilities or you have some other hardware plugged into TV?
I am curious what setup you have in place for Z10 to communicate with TV?

Yes my TV is on the wifi. It is a Samsung Smart TV. Z10 needs to be on the same WiFi.

In this case, no setup required. My device was on the list of allowed media devices - check marked in Settings.
