The question is not whether Z10 and likes are capable of running 10.3 but whether BB will release them for Z10 likes.

We should dig history to see some hints.......

Lol... irrelevant since those executives are long gone.

If this is true it makes no sense. My Z10 runs much, much better on 10.3.1 than on the previous 10.2.1 official version.

I think we worry to much about these phones and I'm guilty of that as much if not more then others.
we are going to move on to different phones later if not sooner. were worry about EOL for the Q up till
earlier this year there was a company that still were using treo's I see 9900 also. short of changing icons and colors
its not to much that they can change if you put on a OS and it runs smooth and it do what its suppose to do what can they change.
they put out a patch if no other major problems happen what can they do. it's like the op you can run XP with basic hardware.
but to get the full effect you need different hardware.

What would not surprise me is if VZW decided not to push out 10.3. It seems they are doing their best to drive BB customers to other platforms and may not want to go through a test cycle for a new update. I really wish Mr. Chen would/could improve the VZW/BB relationship so that it was in the interest of both to make BB successful on Verizon.

I am just hoping that the Z30 is still in VZW's inventory mid-January when I have an upgrade available. I bought my Z10 full price but $500 isn't easy to part with right now. VZW is by far the best coverage where I live but will have to reexamine if they shut out Blackberry.

I remember seeing numbers like 50% of BB10 are Z10s or something like that. They did produce alot of them and are probably all gone to consumers by now. I don't remember where exactly but that 50% number is more of an estimation than hard fact.

I also remember seeing numbers like this. Z10 was the first BB10 device followed by Q10, so no wonder. And even now in Dec 2014 new factory unlocked Z10s are still available on the market. Staples in Canada has Z10s in stock for $230 ($199 on sale few weeks ago), for example.

Just because the Z10 is capable of running a newer OS doesn't mean that they'll actually release it for that device. So, yes, I saw that he is running a leak of 10.3 on the Z10. I don't see how that gives any insight into what BB plans to do in the future.
The fact that there is a 10.3.1.11xx leak for all the variants of Z10 (yes, even the 100-1) tells me that BB has already done a ton of work to create it. (We're not running a Z30 or Q10 OS on our Ten's.) It would seem a massive waste of time and resources to then say it won't be released for the Z10. What's the point?

Yes, I can see CARRIERS not wanting to push out 10.3.1 for older devices (a lot of effort to test). Can't see BB not wanting to make it available.

BlackBerry have the ability to push it out without carriers anyway. Just makes things harder.

Is it BlackBerry or a good fellow developer? I don't know, just asking.
I used to port Android 4.2.2 to phones that no one ever imagined will run this OS.

BlackBerry... there's even 10.3.1 virtual machines for all device types.

In this case it's highly unlikely for BlackBerry to stop the development in final stages.

If indeed BlackBerry pulls this EOL thing off with the Z10, I will pack my bags and back to my Nexus 5.
I'm guessing my money's no good to BlackBerry anymore.
    And that's really to bad.

As others have said, at this point, it's highly unlikely but if they ever did, I'm not gonna pack bags and go off to get a non-BlackBerry device but it would be somewhat disappointing. I'd probably get a Passport instead.

I will definitely go elsewhere. Got burned on the PlayBook and gave them one last chance with the Z10. If they don't come through with the update then the company is over.

What version are you running?? I'm running .1154 but it's too buggy for me to run my business. The contacts, mail and calendar apps all are too unstable. I find myself looking for workarounds as if I'm on my iPad. I need to know how to go back to the 10.2.

Use Autoloader and try 10.2.2.1609. I find it the best OS for Z10 for now. Runs better than any 10.3.x leak I have tried. Best signal reception and battery life too. It's an official OS release for Z10, not a leak.

I'm running 1154 on my Z10. The only real issue I have is the contact app incompatibility with Exchange Outlook categories - editing a contact on the phone will delete any category assigned to that contact back on the Exchange server and the resultant contact on the work PC.

Otherwise, I have no other issues. Mail and calendar syncing over EAS is fine. And my home email synced to my ISP over IMAP works fine too.
