    If you set word prediction off, spell check will still work until you turn it off as well. BlackBerry 10 word predictions are awesome though. Lol

    The settings for word predictions is in Settings -> Language and Input -> Prediction and Correction -> Show Predictions On/Off

    The settings for spell check is in Settings -> Language and Input -> Spell Check -> On/Off

    Hope this is not off the topic. In OS7/etc, before an email got sent, there would be a quick spellcheck. I have not noticed that happening on my z10. Is there a some setting I've missed or is the 'predictive' keyboard suppose to have replaced that spellcheck process?

    Not so much the predictive keyboard but the real time spellcheck should be replacing words to their correct spelling. If you keep the misspelled word it'll underline it with a red squiggly line. You can then ignore it, tap on it to select from a list of suggested spellings, or tap it and add the word to the dictionary.
