I understand the current OS only support FAT32. The problem with FAT32 is that it can not store single files bigger than 4 GB while exFAT can. While most average joes would not have single files bigger than 4GB but on some occassion, full HD video files can be bigger than 4GB (or maybe work files).

Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 supports exFAT

I wonder if the newer OS would support exFAT FS.

    Anyone know?

I don't know for sure but seems I remember reading that OS10, not sure what .version will support it. It could have just been a rumor though.

It could be that android 4.2.2 needs exFAT, if not for user files, then probably for OS module files.

Right now I don't see a need for files larger than 4GB on OS10. A video file that large would be unmanageable to edit or transfer to a PC for editing. I'm not sure what happens if you try to record a video larger than 4GB on my Z10, but if it is like my HD JVC flash camcorder, it automatically closes the file and starts a new one.
