    Is it included in one of passport or classic? Or can we expect it in future full touch phones?

    Used an iPhone 5s and its amazing how quick the phone reads the thumb impression. Its convenient.

    We won't see it until BlackBerry figures out a way to ensure it is 100% secure. Their reputation depends on it. Think about it...imagine the headlines if a BlackBerry fingerprint scanner was hacked. Their stock would dive.
    Apple and Google can afford to goof around with things like this because the general public and, more importantly, the media don't pay too much attention if/when something goes wrong.

    Well, BlackBerry could always innovate. We can have that technology even on the screen.

    I would like to have it personally. But it's not included in the Passport or classic to my knowledge. So at least for now the answer is no.

    Who knows what 2015 will bring.

    You need a physical home button currently but Apple is researching putting the sensor underneath the touchscreen and making it contextual to combine biometrics with swipe action.

    It doesn't appear BB is researching this as the concept doesn't have any BB patents attached to it. They could of course license it as Samsung/LG has done but those implementations are poor compared to TouchID.

    I'd like to see it on the back of the phone.. about where the BlackBerry logo is on my Z10.. my index finger naturally rests there.
