I am having some issues with my Z10 WiFi connectivity. Often, my Z10 drops the Wifi connection, and goes over to mobile network mode. When I search for Wifi networks nearby, the round spinning circle keep spinning ? even when I am standing next to two access points. I am not sure caused this issue, which started a few weeks ago. The only way for me to reconnect would be to restart the phone. I get Wifi access and all is well until it drops out again.

Anyone else experiencing the same issue? What could be the reason and any known solution?

Not the same issue no, could you tell us what (if you know) Router brand and model you're trying to connect to?

Personally I've always used Linksys (Cisco) routers and never had this sort of issue.

Is this happening on any wireless network or just your home connection?

Is this happening on just your Z10 or other devices too?

Thanks for the reply. Have a Linksys wireless access point. All units connected to the Linksys works without any issue except my BlackBerry. It will drop the connection and then keep looking for Wifi access point.

I only have one BlackBerry so not sure if another BlackBerry would experience the same. We have two Samsung in the house and they are working without any issues

Thanks for getting back to me, sounds like the issue is isolated with the phone.

Have you done any updates to the phone previously? It sounds like a possible corruption within the wifi itself (OS related) . Not sure if you could try reloading / updating / installing a leak and see if the issue is resolved after that?

I installed the official OS Z10STL100-2/10.1.0.4633 and have mot installed any leaked version. I need my BlackBerry to be as functionality as possible as I just moved from one continent to another. Therefore it was a bit disappointing when these issues started.

How do I reload the same OS? Would ut reset all my BlackBerry settings?

It's funny because I'm getting something very similar to what the OP has going on. I'll set up my wifi connection only to find that after I leave home and then come back, my BlackBerry can't find the previous wifi network and just has that spinning circle. Only workaround I've found so far is that I have to delete the wifi network from the saved list and manually reenter it. Or restart my phone.

I've seen this a couple times too. at first I thought it was the router but I just got a new one a couple weeks ago and I just saw it again today. for me, I don't need to restart - just toggle wifi off, wait a couple seconds, and then toggle it back on. it always connects right away. I'm on the latest official release 10.1.0.4181 or something.

I keep forgetting to grab the logs. if I remember the next time it happens, I will post them.

I have the same problem with the wifi at Work recently. Nothing has changed on the router side or the phone initially so i suspect the Z10 not picking the signal. After a little while of being logged on, the signal drops and i lose the network. The laptop on my desk is logged onto the same wifi and show signals of 80%.

I recently updated to MR but same situation. It there a way to strenghten the wifi receiving signal of the Z10?

I have the same problem, but it doesn't just happen on my home network. I about only noticed it three weeks ago. The only way I could fix it is to restart the device. I will reload the OS to see if this fixes it!

Same problem, although when I used the latest 10.1 leak, all was fine. Any 10.2 variant reintroduces the issue despite wipes, static IP, etc etc. No idea what the cause is unfortunately

I hope 10.2 does fix it. I'm sitting here right now with a spinning circle.

If anyone knows what this log means please help! Though, it looks like it's not my router, but my work Wifi that's messing stuff up. So there's probably nothing I can do about it anyways. I removed the SSID if anyone's wondering why it's blank.

I've had this same issue on my z10...10.1 OS...started some weeks ago.
Tried a device reload from backup, reinstalled all my stuff. No improvement. Then while trouble shooting another issue....not able to ping my wifi printer from my laptop, I performed a reset on my del wifi router and that fixed both problems.
Z10 has been wifi flawless for ten days now... and it can also see my wifi printer via my PrintHand app.

routers fail and flake out every once in awhile. Thats why they put a reset button on the back. It happens for no good reason to any phone or tablet.

    Hello,

Started having this problem at my work router. It also happened to my colleagues blackberry 10 phone. this is not good. The grey spinning circle the whole time on the wifi list. I am on the newest OS 10.2.1 and she is on 10.1 MR

The problem started 2 days ago, and even the new OS update doesnt resolve the problem.

Can someone advice what we should do to resolve the problem. I have tried restarting the router etc.

Its not very good this spinning circle....

Help please. The connection drops out every few minutes its irritating

It's happening to you and your friends Z10s, running two different OS? How about other devices? Laptops etc. Definitely sounds router related.

Have the same issue. I also have the latest update on OS. I know it isn't the router because it happens at work, home, and the coffee shop wifi. Turning wifi on and off doesn't reset... I actually have to restart the phone. Usually works, but then after a few minutes will drop again. The round circle is not hypnotic, it is annoying!

Re-reading the thread we seem to have a mix of issues here. Those with the phone not working anywhere (unless restarted etc.) and a few with just specific router issues.

tombstonebb and I are with the same carrier, running the same OS -- and I am having none of the issues he is having. (I also have wifi-calling with no issues). Some users I have found on other threads have reloaded their OS (in this case it would be the T-Mo MR) and that fixed it. But a lot here have tried that.

How many with this issue have tried to get wifi either in a/p mode (leave a/p mode ON and try) and how many have tried with the SIM out? Thanks

My first z10 had that. Got progressively worse a few days after I bought it until I couldn't even get past the checking for regional settings after security wipe. Had to hand it in and got a replacement.
