What full OS version number and what model z10 (what country)?

    Have you rebooted

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black, keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

I've followed the exact process but the result is same. New version is 10.2.1.176 and the variant is STL100-3. I've bought it in US.

Assuming this is a leaked OS?

What OS version did you have before?

There does appear to be a persistent issue where if a device loses signal for a while, it can have a hard time re-acquiring it.

So for example once this occurs, even though WiFi is activated, it can't "see" the network. I have seen this particularly with 5Ghz WiFi.

When this happens, a restart will in every case allow it to connect again. Have you tried this?

Well rumors had the initial rollout of 10.2.1 starting around 1/4, so this is not far off.

Would love to see "Software Release" and "OS version" numbers on this official 10.2.1 release, if any of you would care to quickly check Settings/About/OS page please.

yes, i've tried restarting..but of no use. Wifi is
automatically switching off without detecting any
    wifi networks.

You might try using the Autoloader file for that OS. It can be found in the OS subforum, and in the Leak subforum. That OS is not yet official anywhere or anywhere else just yet. You might be the first. But trying to reload using the Autoloader might fix something. It is a big download but it runs in less than 1/2 hour once you have it.

Apparently this is a known issue with certain 10.2.1 OS builds (including the version you have - OS version 10.2.1.1055 / Software release 10.2.1.176), and it is usually solved by a security wipe and reload of the OS.
