Default Is WiFi music sync still here

Am I missing the WiFi sync somewhere is there a work around?

I remember on my torch I could go through my music play list queue up a bunch of songs I wanted and then soon as it was connected to the WiFi bam they transferred.

    Can someone shed some light?

    Thanks,

    Mike k

    Default Miss WiFi music sync

Yeah, I finally got WiFi music sync working with my Torch and *loved* it. Now, it seems to be gone on the Z10 .... Hope it returns.

Link supports wifi sync for music, videos, photos and documents.

    Default Link syncs ...

Yes, Link does sync wirelessly, which is an excellent feature. But I haven't yet been able to look at my entire music library on the desktop, and choose which songs I want to download to the BB, and then just do so. Maybe I'm missing something? ...

Yes you are missing something. Read the Link help, it explains how to do exactly what you want.

I think there is something lost in translation here. With the Torch and WiFi sync, I could look at my entire desktop library from the Torch, wirelessly. When I saw a song I'd like to have on the BB, I'd request it to be downloaded wirelessly, and would momentarily receive it on the BB. I never had to choose songs individually on the desktop. With Z10, I see nothing which allows seeing the whole of the music library from the Z10. I have to go to the desktop and choose. Then, those songs can be sync'd with the Z10. Do you still believe it's possible to see the whole desktop library wirelessly from the Z10? The Link help file didn't show me how that could be done -- I don't think it currently can.

OK guys, thanks for the clarification. I used wifi music sync with the Torch an enjoy that feature with the Z10. I have never used it that way as you've described. Seems to me I just want my phone to have all my songs on it. My 32 gb card has 2500 songs and plenty of room for more.

When I first got my Z10 I was able to sync music wirelessly by dragging music from my computer to the Z10 in Link. Ever since the Link software update this week I can only sync music by connecting the Z10 with a USB cable. Wireless sync is turned on in Link, so I'm puzzled why Link doesn't see the Z10 when it's not connected by USB. Anyone have a solution?

Wifi on link still works for me and when u first sync I think it asks if u want to sync from iTunes library so just put what songs u like in a iTunes and sync them.

Also u can use usb connection and drag drop your music on to the z10.

Have you enabled the Share File wirelessly?
Under the Settings app, you'll find the Media Settings, open and activate the shared folder.

Wireless file sharing us turned on, so that isn't the problem.

Figured out the problem. My router is dual frequency and my computer had connected to the other network. That'll do it every time!

Still loving my Z10 after a month of use!

Smbskb is correct...the wifi sharing I had on BB6 torch is not on BB10...IOW, I can't see the music that's ONLY ON MY LAPTOP using my Torch, and then having the option to select a song that ONLY RESIDES ON MY LAPTOP to be downloaded to my Torch via wifi. It was a very useful feature, especially as my media card was getting full and I wanted to manage what music I was adding or deleting from device to make the most of the space.

Also seriously missing Shazam linked to 7Digital for finding and buying music.

If you have changed your WIFI router's IP address be sure to open music> WiFi music sync > options and make your phone discover the IP or enter it manually in the Configure Desktop Server
