    So I have a Z10 running 10.2.0.429 and my wife's Z30 is running 10.2.0.262. I would think that my phone is running the newer software, right? Why then when I go into the wifi settings does the Z30 have wifi direct / Miracast and the Z10 does not?

    Z10 doesn't have the necessary hardware for miracast. Sorry.

    I may be wrong but I think it's different hardware, I've had my Z10 for about a year and always ran the latest leaks and have never had that option.
