I've had the 9700 and 9900 previously, and the WiFi calling was HUGE to me. Now I have a Z10, and don't have the WiFi calling, which sucks because my basement is a joke.

Is there any news or rumors about WiFi calling coming in an update?

It is voip from the cellular network provider.

Wifi calling uses wifi to connect the caller to their home cell towers, this allowing them to use their own cell # and to make free calls from anywhere in the world. Supposed to be coming to Z10 (T-Mo only in the USA). But it looks like T-Mo is already pushing a Beta Wifi-calling app to Windows phones now. BTW, it is not the same as the old UMA.

T-Mobile says WIFI calling will come in a future major upgrade. So the best we ca hope for is June?

There have been reports that it is set to go and reports that it is along way off.

I use ephone comwave on my playbook it is over wifi and free calls within north america.

Love this app.

But it's not on Z10 yet.
