[CrackBerry Question]

I just updated my BB Z10 and at the end of the update the phone just blinks red once connects and then disconnects from the pc. Help pls

How did you update?OTA, BB LINK or autoloader?
Try a hard reboot...Hold power button down for 20-30 seconds and see if LED flashes and boot logo reappears.
If that fails your best bet is to use an autoloader to reload OS.
Make sure you're using the correct files for your device model.

I used the BB Link to update.
I also just tried the holding down the power botton but it it just flashes red again after 10-14 seconds.
no logos appeared. i am downloading the auto loader now although its only shows connected to the computer for a few seconds as the red light blinks. Will keep you posted.

Prior to using autoloader you could reconnect to BB LINK and try a hard reboot again..this might force recognition and you can hopefully reload OS again using Link.
Autoloader is typically fool proof but you do need to find your preferred OS which is specific to your device.

thanks for your follow up. i downloaded the auto loader STL100-1 Z10_xxx_STL100-1 and the light turned green and then the autoloader terminated without doing anything but it looked quite prominsing. i am now downloading the STL100-2/3 Z10_xxx_STL100-2-3 and STL100-4 Z10_xxx_STL100-4 or 2-3 beacause i never took not if it was STL100-1, 2, 3 or 4. Will let u know. Thanks again

Yup...very important to install correct software. Unfortunately to confirm the model your device needs to be operational. You can also confirm by carriers.

Thanks once again for all your help. I did use the autoloader Software version 10.3.2.2876 STL100-2/3 Z10_xxx_STL100-2-3 and it went quite well but at the end the phone still didn't turn on so i downloaded the Z10_10.3.01.2582_STL100-2-3 and tried again but the same thing happened. right now i am downloading the 10.1.0.4633 to try and see what happens.

You really have to be sure of what z10 model Ur using to know the right autoloader to use.

Goto settings > about > on the "General" category you should see your model there.

Are you certain of the integrity of the USB cable you're using, cables can be very tricky u might think it's ok but it's not. Try using a different cable.
