    Hello everyone,

This is my first post here, so please let me know if I am posting in the incorrect forum.

I have a BB Z10 phone and a few months ago I installed Software Release 10.2.1.2977 through the BB Link software. When I go to the Settings / About screen, it shows that I have Software Release 10.2.1.2977 and OS 10.2.1.3247. So far so good. Everything is working just fine.

    But here is the glitch.
1- When I check for software updates it says that 10.2.1.2977 is available and click to Update. When I do so, it just jams there and does nothing. It does not download anything or progress.
2- Every time I restart the phone, it provides a Notification saying Update Pause. When I click to Open it takes me the 10.2.1.2977 update screen.
3- This is the really weird part; when I start the phone a Pop-Up appears saying "You have the latest software installed. Blackberry 10 has been updated to version 10.2.1.2941." With an OK button to continue.

I tried to use the BB Link to restore to Factory defaults, but it won't do it. Basically I click the option to restore factory defaults and it spins its wheels, and no go.

My concern is centered around battery power, bandwidth and any other issues that could crop up considering the device is confused and is looking to perform updates.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Richard

Well first off, if you already have that version do not try to install it again. And stop checking for updates.
If you want to stop all that nonsense, just load 10.3 on your device and never check for updates again. Or f you want to, reload the version of 10.2 that you have...
