I keep my phone in a case and it has maybe fallen only 3 times.

I just had this happen to my Z10 too.
Mind you. I never dropped my phone nor has it touched water, other than cleaner and wet screen applicator.

The screen near the bottom and middle had these faint blue/ purple hazy dots. Thought I would try rebooting the z10 without success, those blue dots are present and can be seen always... Especially when the screen is black.
Went to Bell mobility to have them look at this issue, because I upgraded my phone recently I had a backup, so I sent it away on warranty.
Bell stated that I should have the Z10 back after 2 weeks. Now I'm styling and older BB Bold 9300!

I feared you had the blue screen of death! (struck me and my g/f on the SAME day!)... we're both sporting replacement Z10's. And still loving them!

Yeah the blue pixels must be the dead pixels.
I had them on my old phone too... and they're only visible once the screen is completely black.
I think you must get the screen replacement or the device replaced. It would be under warranty.

You mean a stuck pixel?
My Z10 had a blue stuck pixel in the middle of the screen, but was only visible when it was at maximum brightness and with a black screen
