Starting a few days ago my battery only lasts under 5 hours. Doesn't matter if airplane mode is on with no apps or if I'm watching videos and calling. I used to almost be able to get through a day on a full charge this is pretty ridiculous

Lots of potential reasons. First question is what did you change a few days ago? OS, Apps or Games, updates? Is the phone heating up? Could be an OS issue. My phone randomly started heating up and eating my battery, an OS wipe and restore fixed it.

I assume you have restarted the device? Loaded any new apps or updates lately? Do you have battery guru installed to get a better idea of what your battery is doing?

I feel your pain. My battery lasts maybe 2 hours just surfing the net or twitter. I'm sitting here now and my battery went from 80% to 60% in about 10 minutes. Painful.

I had/have the same issue - fill charge depleting at 1% in two minutes. I just connected m Z10 to my laptop, launched Link and tadaaah, problem solved. The phone cooled down and remaining battery time is 23 hours (instead of original 3 hours)

This happened to me one day so I backed up by phone and then restored it to factory settings using security wipe. I then tested phone for a couple days. Battery was amazing! Then I restored from backup with exception to application data. This gave me back my phone the way it was in terms of settings, ring tones etc....I then backed up again and started loading apps slowly and monitoring battery life. all is good now and I have almost everything loaded again.

I am going to try that. My Z10 has just started acting up and draining the battery in only 5 hours without having any apps open. Battery pulls do nothing to help. I did install some made for BB apps, but uninstalled them but that didn't help.

As this thread is over two years old I guess they have a new phone by now.

If it is a problem you are experiencing best to do a search on the subject as it is a problem that occurs from time to time and there are threads on the subject, it happened to me when I had a Z10.
