A couple weeks prior I planned on switching from Telus to Wind and so I went into a Wind store to see if my phone was compatible. The sales rep asked which carrier and phone, and I told him Z10 with Telus. He said It should work. I asked again if he was sure and he said yes. He told me to unlock and come back to get things set up. So 2 weeks later I come in with an unlocked phone only to find out from another sales rep that my phone in fact WASN'T COMPATIBLE as he actually tried in 2 different SIM Cards.

Some basic details about my phone:
Z10 STL100-3
Model: RFF91LW.

Now I'm just pissed. I should done more research. Any thoughts or similar experiences? What should I do?

RFF91LW doesn't have the AWS 1700 band. You'd need the RFK121LW STL100-3, or any other phone with the AWS 1700 band.

Actually, it's been determined that both versions of the 100-3 are indeed, exactly alike. It turns out the specs of the 91LW are incorrect. This question has come up a lot on both the T-Mo and Wind forums. You should ask on the Wind Forum where people have been using both versions of the 100-3 w/o issue. Maybe they can help you there. Wind techs have apparently been telling people the 91LW phone is incompatible and they are wrong.
