I'm really pissed off at the fact that I turned all of my radios off and my Z10 has somehow been able to get through 33% when in bedside mode. How is that even possible??? It's happened a couple of times before but this time I have proof. What the **** is it playing at? Can anyone explain this and know how I can avoid it happening again? #itsgonnabea****day

Did you happen to install a new OS recently? If so then it's known that it keeps on sucking battery juice extensively for up to a week depending on how much data you have..

Well, I have had mine since last Friday. The day I got it I made the OS update. It took about 3-4% of battery during the night but last night I left it with 100% and after 8 hours it had 89%. So yes....strange!

Assuming you're on 1.2.1, go to settings -> Device Monitor and look at both battery and CPU, maybe you'll find the culprit. If you find "System" using half your CPU then it's probably a bad flash, and you should reflash in blackberry link. Otherwise, it could be your battery is not calibrated properly, and you should let it drain to dead, and then charge it to 100% + an additional hour, and see if it improves after that. If that *still* doesn't work, it could be the battery is faulty.

Yeah I installed 10.2.1 the day after it came out. It's been over a week now, I'm sure of it and it should have settled in by now. Could it be Android apps? I've used Snap to download them.

I don't have time to be constantly charging it. That's one of the reasons I bought a battery bundle. Really annoyed now

I had a new battery in it when this happened. I've only had it for about 2 weeks at most. However I doubt it's a bad battery. I think it could most likely be a calibration problem.

Even my Z30 struggled to get through yesterday, I believe we need a BlackBerry task manager for whatever seems to be running in the background? Maybe it was color ID? That is the only thing that I'm expecting to be running

Can I ask why you are using bedside mode without having the device connected to a charger, if not to have a dim clock staying on all night, which is what it does if it is plugged-in?

Android apps are infamous for that.

Install "Taskmanager" App from BBW... It's amaizing how many Android Apps just pop up from nowhere and run in the background without even been started, just installed... They might search for update or so, even if you turned off radios... they force to search for network... I finished to Identify them and delete them... I even deleted Skype! From 80% to zero% in one night I forgot to plug into charger... since then, my phone charge lasts for a bit more than a whole day by normal use.

The only "optional" process running there is MusicFX.

All the others are standard Android OS services.
