As for the box differences, who knows? The boxes typically always tend to vary.

Most interesting part of the box I got today at Telus is that it's emblazoned with a RIM logo. It's as though the boxes were made ages ago.

That's the one. Their company address next to it says "Research in Motion Limited" and the side says "Made in MEXICO for RIM Canada". Too funny, I can't help but be curious. Did they not want the name change to get out so they didn't tell their supplier to just say Blackberry? Did they not know that they were going to change names until insanely recently? Or have these boxes just been made for a really long time?

It has changed on the stocks & the company website.. You go on google & try searching RIM. The first one will sow RIM but will transfer you straight to Blackberry. The change did happen or else they would not not said the name changed..

The boxes are made months before the release of the phone. This is why we see that on the box.

Probably the latter. But hey, you have one of the last mentions of RIM on a Blackberry box ever. If you're a collector of sorts that might be a big deal. Otherwise meh.

Got two of them today from Rogers. In the box, on top of paperwork, only a usb cable, a wall charger (cube thing) and earphones. Only one battery.
