I use it on both my phones. Now that I have the hang of it, it's so fast. Picking the right picture made it more efficient.

given that a thief has an extremely small chance of guessing it within the ten tries permitted before permanently bricking the phone.

    Seriously, bricking the phone?

There is more than once that I wrongly place matching number and picture. Once I tried it more than five time it asks for number password. Then OK.

Is it really bricking the phone after 10 tries? How about someone toying with your phone and wrongly guess it ten times?

Any password protected phone will wipe the phone clean after x-times wrong password attempt.
And it WILL NOT BRICK your phone. Only wipe your phone.
As long as you do back up, all is fine.
I have never password protect my phone until picture password came.

    And to OP,
I is too.. never turn back since it's availability.

Had problems using it on a previous leak with a custom photo where the photo and lock screen wouldn't load and I couldn't get access to the phone so had to factory reset but since the official 10.2.1.2102 release and using a default picture, no problems.

One of the key features I like to show off to the uninitiated which is always received with amazement as the can't figure out my passkey - though almost got permanently locked out by an overly enthusiastic attempt by a friend to unlock it on their own!)

What prompted the OP to use the wording, "still using?" Any particular experiences which led you to stop using it?

Me and my friends use it all the time. Only pain i see is if i disable it for sometime when my kid nephew is using it or someone who is not familiar with the picture password i have to set it again. The system wont use the last combination i put.

I wondered that too. Since I updated to 10.2.1 only a few weeks ago, Picture Password still feels new to me. I love it.

Awesome feature!! I show it off all the time, and people are amazed and ask how to get it. I tell them it's in the BlackBerry.

I'm using it too. Two of the letters in my password started to appear twice sometime when I type so this way I give them a break.
Not sure if I should just keep abuse the password until the two keys will double type all the time and just call the warranty center and get a new phone.

Use it, love it. When people see me using it, they always come to me and ask "what did you just do???" Then I just told them I was unlocking my phone, and did it again, just to show them they won't be able to figure it out. The look on their faces is awesome! Even after the 3rd and 4th time unlocking it right in front of them.

As for the picture picture password, I, too, found it too cumbersome. A simple PW of 4 numbers is pretty easy and very secure, given that a thief has an extremely small chance of guessing it within the ten tries permitted before permanently bricking the phone.

My understanding is the picture password was designed so someone could be watching you and still have no clue what your password is.

However unlikely, if someone watches you enter digits on a virtual keypad they can guesstimate what number combination you are using. The same for a swipe
