This is with LTE off. Still over 20 Mbits.
I just keep LTE turned off and it doesn't bother me a bit.

CDMA 3G sucks. I need LTE.
H+ is pretty damn fast, as fast or faster than LTE in many places really. I have gotten 30 megs on my N4 many times around here and on VZW LTE i would only get 20 or so
There, I fixed it for you :-).
I hate CDMA. But I understand a CDMA carrier might be the best option for some.

LTE on t-mobile is ridiculously fast compared to H+. Don't know about other carriers
Something about just seeing the letters LTE on the corner of my screen, almost makes me feel like my phone is faster. But in actuality there isn't too much of a difference, then again I'm almost rarely on 3G

I will be in an LTE area tomorrow. I will what difference it is. I think it is mostly upload that is faster

No no no my good sir. Downloads are great on H+ don't get me wrong, but LTE? Haha it honestly makes you annoyed when you go back to H+
How fast?30 megs or more?
To be honest, I have only used LTE a few times, even though it is available in Indianapolis now. I just turn it off since 20 megs is plenty fast.

Wait, you say H+. Are you on ATT?
I think T-MOBILE has a lot faster HSPA+ than ATT
Posted via CB10
I'm talking about t-mobile. But I don't know how much megs wise, it's just fast. That number you put up in the picture is just a theoretical speed that your Internet should be running at, at its fastest. It isn't an extremely accurate representation of your speed.
I just am basing it off of how fast the browser and apps load information.
If we were to compare megs though.. in San Diego I got 56 megs when doing speed tests.

I hit 6-8mbps on 4G.
I run wifi mostly at home or where I can as it's 19-22mbps at most places I go.
I on Rogers

Just to note using speakeasy test server chicago I got 36mbps up and 6mbps down on LTE.
On other servers it was 23-33mbps up and 4-5 mbps down.
Now on 4G It averaged around 6-8mbps up and 1.8-2.46 down.
I just run 4G easier on battery and just as good as it is on LTE, cause remember test servers are one thing, but in real Internet access and so forth is totally different, speeds vary vastly from site to site, node to node in the real Internet world.

In Toronto on Bell LTE is noticeably faster than H+, at least for me it is

I live in Toronto, so when it comes to LTE or 4G, it really doesn't bother me...there's enough good coverage everywhere I go, downtown, island, Main Airport, suburbs...its fast everywhere. Plus there's tons of places that have wifi, which I automaticlly connect to..as I'm near them...so it helps.

My carrier only has H+ so ya. But if LTE's actually nessesary? Nope. My LAN is maybe 32mbps. Or 25. At least on my Android, all the browsers don't process fast enough and are slow enough to negligate the difference. Maybe the BB10 browser, I can see some difference.
Why are you guys using flash speed test? Flash is a bad protocol for speed testing. Go to testmy.net for an accurate speed reading.
Mainly cellular carriers need LTE. Its technically more simple to manage, so in the future it will reduce costs.
Pffft...

A bit confused here, what do you mean by running in 4G and not LTE?
Posted via CB10
4G service for cell phone is just above 3G.
LTE service is way faster then 4G in many areas, but not all.
LTE will burn more battery power in most places as it is faster and requires more battery power then then the lower services.
If your carrier has LTE service you may want to try it out to see for yourself as to which one you like most.
LTE service from most carriers is about as fast as a 25mb Home Internet Plan = 17-22 mbps on average.

I like LTE because of the HD phone calls... The sound quality is much better but sadly it only works when talking to someone else on LTE.
I would love a safe way to turn off LTE when I don't need it. If I had the choice of battery savings or fast download, I might be leaning towards battery more often than not.
However, the flip side is being able to plug your phone in, fire up the hotspot, and have a rocking connection for your PC on the go.
I want to do both these things, but I don't think LTE can safely be switched off.
