I really don't see what the big deal with Whatsapp is . Sure its a good app but not a deal breaker. I side loaded KIK messenger and it works great. It's another cross platform messenger, if everyone did this these Whatsapp threads would be gone. Who knows whatsapp may even come faster.

I don't get why people get into a huff about whatsapp. Aren't unlimited texting plans a standard nowadays? I'm 21 and most of my friends have Androids and iPhones, and I don't seem to have any issue whatsoever communicating with them via text. If I really needed a group chat forum to connect with all of them I just create a group thread on the facebook app. I can send pictures and messages through there too...and if you're phone can support whatsapp there's an 100% chance it supports FB too, so it's not really like the gap isn't covered if it doesn't come. This isn't like instagram that actually has a whole social infrastructure revolving around searching and commenting on pictures.

In Nigeria no carrier gives unlimited text msgs. So we need whatsapp over here. Though in the mean time I ha
ve sideloaded openwhatsapp and it's working perfectly for me but I feel it's draining my battery a lot. I look forward to the release of a native whatsapp.

I'm 18, barely know anyone my age that uses whatsapp. Only time I used it was to message my sister to avoid international charges. I don't THINK I'm getting old yet... O.o

BBM... u give your pin to anyone you want and know you can delete them and never have to hear from them again!!

i have actually picked up a girl by giving her a note saying BBMe (cause i saw her using a BB). she added me to her BBM.. she ended up being a ***** so i deleted her and blocked her.. end of story.. never have to hear from her again ; >

I beg to differ. I believe everybody has their preferences and no there is no reason to argue.

I'm personally a heavy user of whatsapp, not without a good reason tho. Firstly, 70% of my contacts are on whatsapp (no joke), and with whatsapp, u don't need to add contacts, it adds any new and existing contacts to the messenger automatically. Lastly is the group messaging, it can be so useful at times.

I do check app world almost every other free time I have to see if it has been released. However, giving up Z10 because of whatsapp being delayed has never occurred to me.
