Me it really sucks BlackBerry Link won't even install or let me uninstall it on my laptop.

    Keep getting these two errors

Error 2738 could not access vbscript run time for custom action

Error 1311 source file could not be found c:\users\useappdatlocatemwzseo.tmp\data1.cab verify that this file exists

Nobody has been able to give me an answer either here on crackberry or the BlackBerry support forums so I can't backup my z10 or use link at all.

I also have this annoying DOS window that pops up occasionally as a result of the partial install...

I was having problems downloading it as well. Try changing your browser. I was using Google Chrome, but switched to IE9 (I think) and it worked like a charm. Good luck!

No, he is saying chrome messes up the download file so it doesn't install correctly.

Download and run ccleaner Download CCleaner 4.01.4093 - FileHippo.com both the file and registry cleaners, save a backup of your registry.

Redownload the install file using ie and reinstall after cleaning and rebooting.

I was having a lot of trouble with link recognizing my Z10. I finally removed my Z10, then added it back. I turned off the wifi too, so it could only see it via the usb

I had an issue when the new update came out for link where it would basically force close BB link when I connected my phone. Alas the only way I was able to resolve it was to completely remove Link with Iobit uninstaller and reinstall the program... Now it works perfectly again. Bazonkers

You better try Windows database for those error codes. Sometimes Windows can drive you crazy with these unknown errors. Have you checked your firewall?

Apply the fix that is posted on this site as well as the Blackberry support page. (You need to empty your BBW cache)
