    Are you guys getting the issue where a known contact is showing up as a number because it's got spaces?

    Eg. Contact has +61432132132 recorded in contact details and WhatsApp is +61 4321 322 32, WhatsApp won't match the two contacts up..

    Nope not seeing that but then i dont have any contacts with spaces in them. Have you tried refreshing your contact list within whatsapp?? if you have and that doesnt work then maybe take out the spaces in your contacts or add the spaces and see if that links the contacts up??.

    If I add spaces to my phone contacts to match the WhatsApp number exactly it works.. I would have though WhatsApp knows to strip non numerics when matching contacts...

    Eeks, I have the same issue! It's annoying!
    I have the problem with Singaporean and Malaysian numbers btw

    Here is the change i did which worked..
    In Whatsapp, Go to Contacts
    Check/Enable flag "Show Contacts"
    It will show you the names instead of just numbers..
