    Well, that's the name they chose for the highest level of alerts for the Emergency Alert System (EAS). The Emergency Broadcast System (EBS) doesn't exist anymore. The message is coming from the President so why wouldn't it be called a Presidential Alert? Maybe instead of just Emergency Alerts, the category should actually say Emergency Alert System. They also could have put an explanation like they did with the other alerts.

    What is key though, is if we ever get a Presidential Alert, something REALLY bad either just happened or is about to happen.

    No alerts for Her Royal Majesty? What if the Queen has something to say? Everybody write a letter to Blackberry telling them you need alerts for the Queen as well.
