I've heard (don't quote me on this) that a company called Fairfax (largest stock holder in the company) is lobbying heavily for a take over in the company. They are planning on turning it into a private company instead of a publicly traded one. This will shift it away from the consumer market and focus more so on offering complete end to end communication solutions for companies.

i.e. offering packages for mobile computing, email exchange services and all those other nitty gritty IT related things to keep businesses moving. (I had to say it )

I don't think we'll have the full picture until the deal comes through in November, it's pretty hush hush right now. But they released a letter earlier this week saying they won't abandon they're user base. If this deal goes through, Thorsten gets $55 mil personally iirc, so it's a solid bet they will get taken over. I'm curious as to what will happen to their consumer phones, as I'm a university student and enjoy a lot of their products. They're also in my line of work, so it would suck if the market got flooded with people that have my skillset as soon as I graduate.
