Personally I think its more interesting to see that people are still using their storms.
I prefer full touch screen to keyboard, and BlackBerry to all other types of phones, so the only phones that BB has put out in the US that would have interested me were the Torch 9800, Torch 9810, and the Torch 9850/9860. When the Torch 9800 came out, my Storm2 wasn't that old, and when the Torch 9810/Torch 9850/9860 came out, I knew BB10 was on the way. I REALLY like Surepress, and I didn't think the OS 7 torches were enough of an upgrade over the Storm2 OS 5 phone to overcome that love of SurePress for me. And since by the time those were released BB10 was coming down the pike, my mind was made up to wait.

The Storm2 has been and continues to be a fine phone.

I'll be powering down my Bold 9900 for the first time ever, so she can have a nice long rest until the day I ever need to call on her as backup.

I will not be "jilting" any device.

My Bold 9900 will be lovingly displayed on my desk in it's cradle displaying the clock.

RIM may only offer $85 but a carrier may offer more, i can get $60 from my carrier for my 9700
Or cut out the middle man and sell it on ebay. I sold my torch 9850 with a couple of accessories for 160 bucks just a few weeks ago.

It's interesting that most of the people who are switching from a different platform are switching from iPhones.

People always tear me a new one when I suggest that RIM will get more conquest sales from Apple then From Android. I get iOS users are the most loyal there are. But I would argue that may have been true in the past, but these days there's a ton of iPhone customers who just bought it because some sales person told them it was easy to use but they have no real brand loyalty to Apple. Plus, BlackBerry is the most similar ecosystem. The experience will be fast, fluid, consistent and reliable. The hardware will be well crafted. Both will come from the same company. No one else other then Apple does the whole show end to end. So Apple users looking for something different that aren't looking for a Samsung, will naturally gravitate to BlackBerry. That and allot of current Apple customers are also former BlackBerry customers who may miss a few things that BlackBerry offered that iOS is just getting around to adding to iOS 7. But we are already past 7 and on to 10 lol

I'll be retiring my 9860 for BlackBerry 10

Bold 9930. I will also be dumping Sprint for Verizon. I'm selling a couple of other phones to help finance my ETF with Sprint, which I think is down to $100.00.

iPhone 3G. Hardware wise it's been very reliable but the software is just so bland now. Never had a Blackberry phone before but got a Playbook and loved it. The QNX based OS on the Playbook is what first caught my interest in RIM.
