What are the chances of my phone breaking from downloading a leak? I really want to! But is it safe!

The chances are very low ones. So, don't be afraid of that.

Breaking? If you don't pull the plug or yank the battery during install, slim to none.

I agree. I have done almost every leak that has come out and *knock-on-wood* have not had an issue. This website is where I get all mine from. Follow step by step, and you should be fine. Just remember, it takes a least 2 hrs to do it and restore.

What he says is a way to brick the phone. It's a method of reverting back to previous, factory OS. Once bricked, the phone will not turn on and the LED will blink continuously.

From there, you plug your phone to a computer, start BlackBerry Link and it will see that your phone needs to reload the OS.

    you'll be fine

And bricking is tough to do unless one pulls the plug or yanks the battery during an OS load or security wipe. Or loads the wrong OS.

The only bad thing that could happen from running a leaked version OS is when you are still trying to discover what's in it while another new leak is being devoured...

Minor glitches. Speaking of which, how much better is .1761 than .1725? I have the latter and I get this weird glitch where it refuses to open conversations. It's bearable but just wondering if by any chance .1761 fixes this? Asking because backing up is a hassle and I'd rather not go through with unnecessarily.

Just be prepared. My phone wouldn't load an OS a while back and I ended up spending 7 hours of my day fixing it. Just take your time and follow the directions. And don't try this when it's storming out. If your power goes out you're gonna be screwed

I've been using leaks for years, and have never had a single issue with any of my devices. I have loaded almost every single one of the leaks for BlackBerry 10 devices (Q10 and Z10) and have had not a single issue.

The only bad part is if you restore... it takes a while. It usually takes me like 45 minutes. Lately I have just been re-downloading apps from BlackBerry World and skipping the restore.

The only bad thing I can tell you is the new 10.2 leak have spoiled me so much with the new features, when I used my friend's Z10 which has the official 10.1 I got frustrated. Don't say I didn't warn you!
