Yes it balances the white color in your display.

Some people prefer their white to have more of a blue look. Some like the more yellow white.

Think of it like the different color light bulbs you can buy for your house.

Cool white - more blue
Warm white - more yellow

It's under settings and display. It has a slider bar to adjust the colour of the white.

This feature doesn't seem to be enabled for the STL100-1, noticed that on the last few leaks
Can anyone explain that? Is it because of the chipset again?

It's been available for awhile. Has not been a feature on STL-1 devices, unfortunately
