Tried a friends Z10 this weeekend, and was very impressed. Was going to get an android but now convinced on a Z10. But with so many in outstanding inventory, it wouldnt be to smart to pay retail right now when their going to have to discount it.

How many others are waiting on the sidelines like I am knowing a price drop is coming. And are going to see a Q10 writedown as well?

Exactly if it is the new entry level touch, its not priced as such. And now that they've told everyone how bad the sales are, I can imagine anyone buying without an incentive.

Its a great product, but those that want it are not buying. No one is going to pay retail when theirs now a known oversupply, and by the time they decide to discount the phone it could be outdated...again shooting themselves in the foot.

People probably nervous about buying a Berry, Thor hasnt exactly been the most honest CEO. Lots of promises little delivered. Im actually still shocked at the death of the playbook. I have a couple and their great, was disappointed when BB10 didnt come to it, but I remember an interview where Thor said their working on something for playbook owners...maybe a discount on a new phone, but something to make it right.

Well we're a few months removed, and BB cant even have a decent trade up program to reward their faithfull customers who have stuck by them.

Three weeks after I bought my phone retail for 600$ the price significantly dropped to what it is now (around 330$ right? ) so considering the price drop that has already occurred, that puts the z10 in the same price point as the old nexus 4, and will keep it in the same price point as the new nexus when that comes out. So I would definitely consider buying a z10 because the price has already dropped by a pretty big margin compared to what I paid just a few months ago

Worth buying direct I got one on three. UK 22 pounds. 24 months unlimited data have a look mobile. Direct. Not sure if there will be a fire sale. Any other company would have got these in.the channel

In India, it dropped from 715 USD to 480 USD. I bought it for 475 USD. Maybe, after few days, it will drop further but I don't care. It happens with all cell phone companies.

After launch of Note 3, I saw terrific drop in Note 2, S4 mini and SIII prices. Its happens.

If you are convinced with the price you are paying, go for it.

It all depends on what country you're in. Here in the U.S., the Z10 is free on contract at almost all carriers.
