Good suggestions, also make sure you have a strong wifi signal. Its tough to stream video over wifi that comes and goes. I would use it for video chatting only when you have 2 bars or more of wifi signal. I was in rural Turkey last week and had a crystal clear bbm voice call with my daughter for 16 minutes, uninterrupted, using the wifi in a local sidewalk cafe. Just make sure both you and your contact are both covered by a good strong, steady wifi signal.
