Forget Verizon. Just install a recommended leak.

For people who know about CrackBerry, this is fine, but for everyone else who don't know about this site and the resources it has to offer, it hurts BB's reputation.

I sometimes feel like they do it on purpose to limit the amount of sales and overall view of the device by common users who just want a good smartphone and wanted to try something new instead of another Android or iPhone.

I think VZW b.s.'s their customers into thinking that they test so rigorously but instead are slow as molasses, give up, then release it, but pull back because they actually didn't test it properly to begin with.

Definitely. My mother told me she is having the 30 day email issue for work, and she just couldn't wait to have the update. I installed it on her phone and she has no problems

According to an internal VZW screenshot someone posted, it was "rescinded and delayed".

Most likely there was some sort of showstopper bug or security vulnerability that was discovered at the last minute. ATT pulled theirs after they already started rolling it out.

I have a feeling VZW is going to go ahead with the midsummer maintenance release (10.1.0.4xxx) now since, among other things, they pulled the PDF doc with the version specific info on it too.

verizon has some serious issues with the way they work and I own their stock. Blackberry need to stay on top of verizon to push out the update
or do it themselves.

I purchased a beautiful Z10 yesterday on Verizon's service. It actually came with the software update. So I am unsure if they are rolling it out now, but my particular phone had it.

Please post a screen shot of your phone's OS info. It's very curious that it would be on a new phone right out of the box and not the stock one that's been out for months.

I have version 10.1 on my Z10 right now (I am with Verizon). While I was not able to download it b/c Verizon is sucking at the moment with releasing it, my Tier-3 BES admin sent me a link to download the update and I was able to update my phone using BBLink. If I can finally get my screen grabs to work, I will post a screenshot.

Here is why Verizon did not put out the BB10.1.0 update yet and the reason VZ did not promote Z10&Q10 phone because it is owe Apple Iphone big time. This is the reason why the salesperson at VZ pressured customers to buy an Iphone instead. See the story below:

I had to cancel the download until I am up and running on my Wifi at home. When the lady at Best Buy was activating it yesterday, it went straight to a "software update is available" (which I thought odd considering how slow Verizon is with updates [and especially what I've been reading regarding BlackBerry updates]). As soon as I do the download, I'll be sure to post a screen shot. Incidentally, I was her first BlackBerry activation....but I could tell that she was digging the phone.
