    Hello crackberry,

I received my brand new Z10 couple days ago from rogers and i'm trying to load all my music onto the SD card. When i try to load up the music (or any other files for that matter) the transfer speeds via used are less than 1MB per second. Normally it should be transferring at least 5+MB/sec on my android phone. is there something wrong with my usb port? also switching my media card to usb mass storage mode deosnt seem to show anything on "my computer" only the shared network drive to the media card... is this correct behavior? or did i get a lemon unit?

also blackberry link likes to occasionally crash for whatever reason. Is this also what people are experiencing?

    Thanks

What sd card? Is it new? If not, did you format it first?

Turn on usb mode in access and storage in settings. It will be faster. Right nw you are seeing your Z10 as a network in "my computer" right?

yes I do turn on the Mass storage mode in settings but it seems to refuse to show up as a dedicated physical drive.

I have no problems with music syncing but I have these problems when restoring backup.

Backup has about 970MB and it takes about 1,5 hour to restore it

Try uninstall BlackBerry Link and install again, seems like your USB Drivers are not installed correctly.

find your device in blackberry device manager (down in the taskbar). expand the drop down menu and then expand 'volumes'. you should see two volumes listed internal and removable. right click each one and select map. It will then map the your sd card and device on board memory as two different hard drives.

Did you ever get this problem resolved sufficiently? I've always wondered why my Z10 is so slow and I have this issue both at home and at work, so I don't think it's related the way I've installed the driver.
