    If you do it using an autoloader , yes the data will be wiped. I suggest dowload the latest blackberry link , back up your phone properly and then update it. Restore after done. Also search forums for it. I've had problems with restore at time but many people restore their data smoothly. Hope this helped

    If you will install 10.3 via autoloader then yes, your data will be erased. On the other hand, if you wait for the OTA update, your data is safe.

    New upgrades always include bug fixes, new features (in case of upgrading to 10.3), new bugs.

    Remember software is never finished so you can always encounter problems / bugs when upgrading, especially to a non official build.

    Find an autoloader of the latest official OS.
