My number has always been private. But I have always entered contacts that are my close friends and family so that my number shows up.
I just got the new BB z10 and i love it. The previous one i had was the Bold 9900. When i added a contact I would add *31# before the number so my numbers hows up on their call display.

My question is............is this feature still the same for the BB z10? When my family calls the number does show up with the *31# before it. I have them saved with *31# in my contacts and it will dial out. But when they call me.... it doesn't show up. The reason i ask is that the ring tone is associated with the correct number that calls in.

I hope im not confusing anyone! hahhaa....

Go into the call setting and simply block your number. This way you don't need to add numbers before your call to block your number

my number is a private number. I'm saying I want to UNrestrict my number when calling certain people like my family, i used to enter *31# then the number and my number shows up.

Maybe it's a different combination for LTE networks. Might have to check with your carrier.

Easiest way to see if it works is to call your landline, or just ask a friend if your number showed up when you phone them
