Solved: Unknown Message Icon on Lock Screen
I have scoured the web and CB's archives show up too much, but on my Z10 i have an unknown icon on my lock screen that won't go away. I have rebooted it, but that's a no go, and no i will not Factory reset my phone.IMG_00000025.jpg

Thats an email icon, check the hub for a email that is not been opened or a text message or voicemail voice to text, check your voicemail too if u have that.
You can also try if that all above not work to do a hard reset by pushing the volume up and down and power button all at sametime, then turn phone back on.
If this not work then call rogers up and see if they can clear the messages on a refresh to your texts or voicemail.
If that all fails then i not know what else to suggest,Last edited by xamdam; 02-18-2013 at 12:57 AM.

Maybe try and remove all the connected accounts, does the icon disappear?
If it disappears add the accounts back, one by one, and between adding wait few moments to see if the icon comes back. This way you can identify the problematic account(?) - 02-18-2013, 01:48 AM #10
check your SENT messages. They may be boldened. I have sometimes had to send emails to myself that are accounts on the phone. The sent email may be counting as a notification.

I get this often on my works BB phone (a lowly Curve). Occasionally got this on my old Torch 9800 personal phone. In both cases normally a battery pull would clear out the offending message. Thankfully not had that issue with my new Z10. I am sure you've tried this already so perhaps not much use to you. Hope you getit sorted out.

Happened to me too. A reboot fixed it.

This is probably obvious but nobody has said it yet: touch and hold today's date in the hub, select Mark Prior Read.
