Recently switched from android and I'm almost there functionality wise. One thing I really miss is bring able to be notified when certain people I follow on twitter tweet. The tweet would show up in my notification center. Is there an app/setting I can select on my Z to do this? Thanks

Try going to Hub/Settings/Hub Management then turn Twitter ON, I think that notifies you.

Also open Twitter swipe down from top and turn Mentions to ON.

Unfortunately, twitter hasn't added that functionality in yet. It's rather annoying. I believe you can get mentions and direct messages, but not when someone tweets...

I too miss this feature from my Old BB Storm... I used to get the sound and a little bird icon in the status bar. :'( Come on Twitter!!!!

You should delete Twitter.
Re-install Twitter and manage account notifications in Settings-Account.
So...manage account in Hub turning ON.
I had the same problem...i have solved in that mode.

Revisiting this after a couple of months. Any options after the new OS to get notified of new tweets from people I've select?....like the android app.

Unfortunately this is something also missing to me from other devices ...
All platforms has this option expect blackberry twitter
None android app on blackberry will work
I have written so many mails and tweets to blackberry support and twitter without unfortunately finding any solutions
Hope some day twitter will add it to blackberry also.....
We must all complain to blackberry for this and maybe we will win it

Yea I've been going on about this for a while now too. It seems as if it was working when I first got my Z10 and it was on 10.1. It hasn't worked for me at all on 10.2.1.

The only way around this that I'm aware if is to set up a Twitter contact to send a text message when they post a new tweet. This has to be done from the PC site (at least for me), but once set up it allows me to get tweets in the hub, albeit in text format. I use this for tsunami and earthquake warnings.
