    Question Transferring your BBM information .. how long does it take ?

    Hey guys I just got the Z10 and switched my bb id to it

    Is it normal for it to take a long time to restore bbm info ?

    how long does it usually take ? I'm using WiFi.

    BBM for me was one of the things that was seemless and sorted out by swapping my Blackberry ID over.
    Its everything else that was a nightmare.

    I'm getting the "Restoring your BBM Information". It's been well over 24 hours. I'm logged into BBID.

    Any help would be much appreciated. My carrier suggested a security wipe. I've tried that twice.

    Solved. I upgraded to BBM 7 on the 9900. I guess I was running BBM 6.2 on the 9900.

    Had to switch Sim Cards on my carrier, download BBM 7, install it on the 9900, restore BBM. Then switched back to the z10. Everything restored fine on the z10 right away.

    In fairness, everywhere on BlackBerry device switch instructions and BlackBerry Link, they do advise you to upgrade BBM to the latest version....so there you go!
    9000 > 9800 and now BB Z10 and 32GB PlayBook glued to my person!
