I've been trying all day to transferring my contact list from my curve to the z10 and nothing is working. The tech at Verizon couldn't even do it. Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    What ways have you tried?

IMO, best way is using BB Link from a computer. Back up your old contact and desired emails/texts, then transfer to your new Z10. Do not run through the process multiple times, or you will end up with multiples of each contact.

FYI, some of the transferred data takes time to transfer, even after the new device is unplugged. The first day I was wondering why not everything from my old device transferred over, but the next day, all the data was somehow there, suddenly..

There is definitely a learning curve. I loved my curve. Never cared for apps or games or streaming movies. Just needed a solid phone for emails, text and a good keyboard. That's why I waiting so long to pull the trigger. The z10 keyboard is easily the best touchscreen keyboard I've tried and so far I'm digging the new OS

For me (9000 to Z10) I used InTouch app after all else failed. Install it in both device but on your Z10 only do the download.

Glad you like it. My 8330 was my first BlackBerry and I can tell you, if I didn't YouTube and cb and if it didn't sometimes reboot during a phone call or wasn't super slow while on the phone, then I could have lived with it.

Hi Guys, from the mails below of April, I guess there would by now be a solid, foolproof system in place.. I need to transfer contacts & data from my 9520 to a Q5. the 9520 has a version 5 OS, and I dont think I can use the BB link (understand BB link is for OS 7 & above?)

The op's device was os4 I believe and it worked for him. I never tried it because I could never stay on an os once another one comes out. I had a bb on os4,5,6,7,10

    Hey Argeel,

Link has a Device Switch function - I just used it 3 days ago to move my wife's contacts from her 9360 to her new Z10 - it worked flawlessly.

    Hi there.

if you only want to transfer contacts, use backup and switch from the memory card.

Here is the work-around that allowed me to transfer contacts from my Blackberry 8330 Curve (Sprint) Os 4.5 to my Blackberry Classic Q20 (At&T) OS 10.3.1.

1 - First I downloaded both the new Blackberry Link Desktop software to my PC for OS 10 AND the old legacy Blackberry Desktop Manager software that works with operating systems below OS 5.

2 - I connected my 8330 Curve to the PC running the old Desktop Manager and created a backup of my contacts. The file type will be .bbb saved on your PC. Make sure you know where it is located.

3 - After creating the file & disconnecting the Curve, I then connected my new BB Classic Q20 to my PC while running the NEW Blackberry Link software for OS 10. Then I just used Blackberry Link to "restore" the old Curve file that was created earlier to the new Classic Q20.

The BB Link software found the .bbb file without me having to navigate to it, but it's probably a good idea to know where the file is located in case you have to find it to do the switch.

All my contacts ported over seamlessly from the 8330 Curve to the Classic Q20 with slightly "fuzzy" contact images, but with all notes included.

Other media like music, images, & documents can be dragged and dropped from your PC to the new device using Blackberry Blend software. Also, just FYI if you have old midi ringtones, OS 10.3.1 cannot play them. You have to convert them to mp3 before you put them on the new device.

    Good luck!
