    I am trying to transfer contacts from a curve 9360 to z 10, all i did was backing up info from curve via BlackBerry link and afterwards restired it on my new z 1p, as a result, everything (text messages etc) except contacts were transferred to my new phone. I tried it several times but with no result. Am i doing smth wrong or it is just a BlackBerry link related problem?

    For me, pairing both phones with bluetooth and then sending the contacts is easier, have you tried that?

    Try backing up contacts to BB Protect on the 9360 than restoring from Protect on Z10

    Actually i have backed up previously via BlackBerry protect, but i could not restore it to my z 10, i guess BlackBerry protect for z 10 is not the same, or maybe i am wrong. ????? Could u tell me how can I do it via protect?

    Is there no device switch option on your 9360?
    Also are your contacts sync'd with any of your mail accounts?

    Yes, with the email sync it is all right, but on the device i had more contacts. unfortunately i do not have curve 9360 device any more, just remained the backed up files in the BlackBerry link which i am not able to transfer to BlackBerry z 10

    you will have a large number of .vcf in your downloads folder

    Did you by any chance backup the 9360 via the old BlackBerry Desktop Software?
    Reason I ask is because if you did, you can extract your contacts from that backup
