I also have a problem with my defender holster. I looked at a few friends with Samsung phones and their holster seemed to have an additional Clip that makes it harder to come loose.

I've been wearing mine clipped to the back of my tool belt and it has come loose a few times. I'm gonna contact Otterbox and see what they say. My holster seems like the knobs that hold the case in place are worn. Hopefully I can get it taken care of because I depend on the protection.

I have an extra pouch on my Occidental trimmer bag that I usually use for drill/driver bits. Guess I could clear that out and keep the Z in there...... Thanks for the idea. I did send a claim to Otterbox tonight. I'll let you all know what happens.

Otterbox! I had one of their cases on every BlackBerry I have owned. The best CS. If any of you ever flown out of EWR; you are familiar with the escalates running to the Air Train. Somebody hit my arm, and my BlackBerry(Storm at the time), went flying all the way down. It had to hit almost every stair. Case cracked, but phone was perfect. Called Otterbox CS, to tell what a great case. They stated: case broke, we will send you a new one. They did.

Does anybody use the holster with the OtterBox Defender? I also do construction work and have had a problem with the phone coming loose from the holster. The Defender is definitely my favorite and most trusted case but I'm concerned about the holster. Any quick fixes if anyone has had the same problem?

Definitely have the same problem. It's the tabs at the top. The phone pops out of them too easily and then it is only a matter of time until it falls. Fortunately, I've always noticed mine when it falls, hit in worry that at some point I won't and I'll lose my phone.

Yeah, that's been my concern that I won't hear it and someone will grab it or I'll just lose it. Waiting to see what CS says. It's definitely the tabs at the top. I wish they would make the holster work more like a horizontal holster. Once the case is in the holster it's to easy to twist it and then it just comes loose. Have also noticed the sleep magnet has never worked. Don't wanna trash the case though. It's still my favorite. At least when it falls from the holster I know it won't be broken. Gonna have to attach a bell to it so I hear it come loose.....

I hope it's as simple as the clip. Like I said, I like the case, just concerned about losing the phone. Have never had a problem with swipe gestures or typing. I'll respond after I hear from OtterBox CS.

I would not even say it's just the clip. Possible flaw in the case. Just tell them you would like the whole case and clip replaced.

Well, if I'm reading my response from OtterBox CS correctly, I have a new case and holster being sent to me. I'll update when I get the shipped notice and receive the new case. If this is correct, I'm blown away by how they stand behind their product. I had a Lifeproof case on an iPhone and they absolutely refused to do anything to back it up. That's OK though because I hated the case! Built in screen protector was a joke, for me anyway. I'll take an OtterBox any day! Especially after the killer customer service!

I'll report back after I use it this week at work hooked to my tool belt. Will see if it falls out of the holster any. So far I'm very impressed. Still think the holster would be better if it worked more like a horizontal holster but I'm willing to stick with this one if it works.

I've gone through 3 BlackBerry flip cases (the ones with the magnet that shuts the screen when it closes). They're not really good. They crack as soon as it falls.
For now just rocking the Z10 without a case.

I need something more resilient than the BlackBerry flip case. I drop my phone almost daily. It often ends up on the floor of my car or under my feet as I drive. If I forget it on my lap it has on occasion fallen into the ground when I get out of the car. Has to be something sturdy.

If they made the Armor series for the Z10 I'd buy it for sure. It would be $100 well spent.

I used to use the Otterbox cases. Switched to the GreatShield line of case for Z10. Good protection at half the cost. Plus the case protects the headphone jack. I use the Ghost Armor screen protector also and have dropped my Z many times and it looks just as good now as the day I bought it.
