I received some emails and I cannot read them due to the font being too small. If I expand the email I have to push it all around to read it.

I forwarded one of my incoming emails to my wife's Bold and it is perfectly readable.

Isn't the Z10 supposed to be an improvement?

Darn. I have some emails that have tiny fonts, while others are more easily readable.
Seems like it depends on the individuals sending the email and how they have it formated.
I can't find any way to adjust it.

This has been a topic over at the official BlackBerry support forum. It is not resolved, on any leaked or current version. Changing the font size does not change the size of the contents of the e-mail for HTML e-mails.

Pinch and zoom is not an answer as you are swiping back and forth to read a message. I was told by one developer that it wasn't possible, and I pointed out that other OS' can do it. There has been no response from BlackBerry Support since this was brought up in January with the launch of the Z10.

For those of us with presbyopia, it is a big deal.

OS 10 is completely new and no line of code made it from OS7 to OS10. That's why many things are different (and better for a bigger market). Of course, some features may be missing.
But to talk a little more sohpisticated, that doesn't make OS10 worse than OS7 in general.

No, it doesn't make OS10 worse that OS7, but it does make the BB10 devices much more difficult for me to use.

So I use something else that DOES have scalable fonts for e-mails so I can read them easily. And if you have a font size > 9 then text messages don't display properly when typed... That's sloppy coding and testing (sorry).
