Guys, I have decided to leave my galaxy s5 and go blackberry. I have a q10 and just bought a Z10. In the long run, which phone is better and has had less issues? Which phone runs android apps better? Which phone is overall better performer? The q10 double type issue concerns me and the z10 battery scares me. Thanks in advance

Al moon thanks, is the battery that bad? The q10 battery is ok but I feel like the screen is a deal breaker and the double typing issue is not something I want to experience

The smaller battery on the Z10 also means that it charges faster. And the battery charge bundle is great. Look on ebay for that and you will always have a spare. With the latest update and 'battery saving mode,' I'm sure the Z10 is much better than it was before. It's a solid little phone, mind you the battery is not one of its strengths.

Hopefully I will not regret leaving android. I really want a phone not a toy. I have noticed that the more games and features a phone has the less time I have for the family and friends

I prefer the Z10 over the Q10 because of the screen. The battery may not be the best, but you can swap them and they aren't expensive. I have three of the battery bundles for mine, so four batteries total. I do t have to use them at home but I travel extensively so use them on travel days if I need to.

If you are at home, the office or in the car, plug it in from time to time, that's better on the battery anyway.

The battery life on my Z10 has improved since 10.1 days (although it's about time for a new battery).

The display is great and the updated OS has lots of class features. I only have one game (pixelated). Just to pass time.

From time to time, the folks in this forum get down on BlackBerry. In my opinion, it's a solid device overall.

Z10 user since day one. Which device runs Android apps better? I say Z10. Of course, apply Cobalt's fix for your cravings (from top to bottom). You won't regret it!

The Z10 has battery issues. I have two spares and a portable charger.
BlackBerry 10 is an amazing OS but unless you have a Passport, nothing will come close to the hardware (especially the display) of your Samsung.
The only thing keeping me with BlackBerry is OS10.
If I had the extra cash on hand I would purchase a Passport outright without a contract.
    IMHO, stay with the S5.

I loaded 10.3.1.2582 on my Z10, now in my son's hands, and he easily gets a day out of the year-old battery. Most Android apps run very well, better than the Q10. But my Q10 had a 10.2.1 OS on it, not the newer 10.3.1, which is much better with regard to power.

My Q10 did not have the double-typing issue. I initially worried a bit about the battery, but I let my phones charge overnight, regardless of battery level, and found that the Q10 battery was good enough.

I'd guess the Z10 is better at running Android. Or, at least, better at displaying Android apps since the screen is more similar in size to android devices than the q10.

The galaxy S5 is a good device but in reality, I do not use it to full potential. I do catch myself on clash of clans and the news but overall, my main focus is recieving text and emails

I have all three Z10, Q10, and Z30. I love all three and alternate randomly. But, after buying the Z30, I can't see purchasing anything BlackBerry has to offer with specs less than the Z30. I have well over 40 apps on my Z30. So, don't use them if cutting into family time. Some of us with families have been there and dealt with that, too. As far as regretting the move to BlackBerry from Samsung, you decided to leave an Android device for specific reasons. Focus on those reasons and enyjoy your BlackBerry(s).
