I came from Android -->WP8.1-->BB10.1, since the possibility for bb10 to be discontinued, I am looking for ways to avoid using any of the previous neither iOS, the only thing I would change from Z10 (if no updates are released) is battery life, I wonder how difficult would be to get (even if generic) a decent battery, by decent I mean a higher capacity one without the risk of exploding.

Bigger battery will add bulk to the phone and you ll need new back cover. If you don't mind it go for it.

The Z10 is a wall hugger. I used to carry several batteries around if I couldn't be near a wall outlet.

It's the phones biggest flaw. Yeah a bigger battery with a bigger back door. Or go to a Leap or Z30.

Keep it on battery saving mode, turn off location, brightness down all the way.

Also be very careful with android apps.

I often just run 4G or, if in a wifi environment for the day, use t-mo wifi-calling and shut the cell radio off altogether. Of course, you have to be on t-mo. But the difference in battery usage is huge.

that's my battery life and no issues with it, it's almost good backup if u need more backup then u don't need a phn wid battery bt a phn wid inverter

Guys, which leaks would you suggest? Today I installed for the first time a leak: 10.3.2.2252 with radio 10.3.2.2253. Does it need some days to settle? So far is consuming a lot of battery without being used.

How in case can I install only a new radio? I didn't understanding it.... so far I used sachesi for mac.

Or have a little lightweight charger in your pocket. Leave it plugged in to a source while at your desk or in the car as well. Extra battery option but switching requires a restart which is a bit more of a hassle than just leaving it on a booster part of the day. If you like to use alot of background juice-sucking apps, you may want to give yourself a present and buy a Z30.

The best extended battery for the Z10 is the Mugen battery. It is a true 3800mAh battery and has the pin contacts and antenna for NFC with the included back cover. It adds bulk to the phone and is expensive. But it is not a cheap Chinese battery which I would be afraid of using in case of fire hazard.
