But what else makes noise on silent.. if a notification does, adjust it in the settings for the Silent profile.

Hi... The camera shutter sound is something that is always there. There are many threads about it. I guess it has something to do with privacy laws. (The threads get pretty intense...) I jumped onto a leaked OS 10.1 and I'm pretty sure the shutter sound is decreased.

As for the rest of the sounds, what other sounds are you experiencing when the phone is on silent?

I usually turn my sound on silent from the swipe down menu, and then use the side keys to turn media all the way down as an extra precaution for classes and meetings and things.

its a pretty common thing to want to take pictures without there being sound mi still cannot find any sound options in the camera or profile

I believe there are a few apps in BB World that mute the shutter sound. I don't have any experience with them but from reading a few threads I think some of them take a screenshot of the camera so sometimes things like zoom and filters are affected. If muting the shutter sound is something you'd like to look into, try a few searches on the forums here and in the photography section of BB World.
