Hey, I'm thinking of reloading my Z10 to the official OS from 10.3.1 , and I was wondering if there's any need of downloading the stock of to install it via BlackBerry Link?
Please don't ask me why I wanna do this...I just want it

You can connect to link and then link downloads the latest. Be aware you lose all your data and you cannot restore a backup from 10.3.x to 10.2

What I was actually asking was that whether there were any downloading needed ( that includes downloads by link)...

Hi Ajay, I recently downgraded from 10.3.0.1154 to the default OS by doing a clean install. Yes you may have to download the OS again and this happens when you opt for Reload of software to reset the phone to its factory defaults through BlackBerry Link . I downloaded the software 10.2.1.3062 when I went through this process on my Z30.. In short yes you need to download

10.2.x OS is about 1GB, of course Link needs to download it first.

Yes you have to download the 1GB OS, the process should be completed by connecting the phone to the computer and by opening BlackBerry Link. The process may take some time based on your Internet speed (it took actually 4 hours for me to download the OS from BlackBerry Server). The phone restarts as factory reset and you may need to set up and configure as you did when you bought it new..

And you can probably also download an Autoloader from the Leak Subforum for the OFFICIAL OS (most official OS's were introduced as autoloader at one time) that you want. The main or maybe only advantage is that you can monitor the download progress easier if you are downloading the autoloader-file. Whereas when BBLink is downloading it, it is kind of a hidden process.
