We heard that the Z10 AT&T model was 0$ on contract at best buy, but now you can also get the Verizon model at the same price, brought down from $49.99.
I think this is a good thing for the Z10, the AT&T model is now selling 30 places higher in there best sellers list. Sitting at 36th position, hopefully this price drop does the same for Verizon.

Went in over the weekend to best buy and was pleasantly surprised to find that blackberry for had guys there promoting BB10. The guys were nice and took pictures with new bb10 owners. This is what I like to see from BlackBerry if they plan on getting a bigger market share.

So interesting to see the contrasting market conditions. In Canada the Z10 is hovering around $100 on a three year plan, and the Q10 is hovering around $150 on a three year plan. The HTC One on the other hand is going for $0 on a three year plan. BlackBerry 10 devices are selling better here for sure, so less incentive to drop prices.

I can confirm this in Canada. And agree it's odd to hear such a big price difference.

It's not surprising though. In the US the sales of the BlackBerry 10 devices were lackluster at best. What do you do in response? You try to lure the customers in with pricing promotions. It's not the ideal situation for carriers, but it is better than sitting on all of the inventory. It does mean though that subsequent orders will be smaller which is not good for BlackBerry. I do hope that the pricing gives the US sales some much needed boost. There is definitely an anti BlackBerry stigma down south.

True, the more users the better in the end for BlackBerry and bb10.

I just seen that on Bestbuy website and im like happy to see that it is 0$ for BB Z10 under Verizon Wireless and on top of that i can just go to best buy and get the BB Z10 for free and then get the plans which is very good.
