Need some help Crackberry so here we go.

Just got a Z10 (upgrade) from AT&T on 4/29 along with a S3 (New Line for a relative). Love the Z10! Been a BB fan for a while started with the Curve, then the 9700, 9800, and 9900.

The first day I got my Z10 the battery warmed and the phone re-booted three times. A few days later and I exchanged it for a new unit. So far so good no re-boots. However I lost data yesterday and troubleshooted with AT&T and they were able to get it back on. Today I lost it again and they were not able to resolve the issue. The strange thing is my the S3 also lost data services also the same days as my Z10. We did an exchange on the S3 today and and two hours later it lost data again. The reps checked in my area and their was no service outage. Also co-workers in my office were also able to access the internet and other data based features. The Z10 an S3 could still make calls and texts just no data services.

On my way home from work today I stopped by the AT&T store and got a new SIM. Data was instantly restored. Now I have two days left on my "grace period". Tomorrow I will also get a new card for the S3 and see if it resolves the issue. My question for the Crackberry community is should I return my Z10 again? The S3 as well? All other lines on my plan were not affected and had no disruption in data services.

I do apologize. I am not a very knowledgable person when it comes to the technical aspects of how Blackberry's work.

The phones were both purchased brand new at an official AT&T store.

Well, the reboots have been an issue but lack of signal hasn't been an issue, at least from what I've seen and experienced. Were there specific times and places when the phones lost signal?

It's really up to you if you want to keep them or not, but JMHO is the AT&T store got a bad batch of SIM cards.

Where are you located? The problem can be with AT&T in your area

It was at random times in the afternoon. I did look on the threads and didn't see anyone with data loss issues. I am really hoping it is the SIM card cause the Z10 really has grown on me. And the bad batch of SIMs should def explain why both the phones keep losing data.

I hope it's the sim. When you lose data you might want to turn off network and turn it off and on. I had this problem when traveling abroad in areas with bad signal. I hope it works out for you, I love my Z10
