Does anyone get the emergency alerts on their z10? I haven't gotten one in 6 months of having the phone, but my girlfriend, who also has a z10, and is on my family plan, has actually gotten them, allegedly.

Other than in the hub, what else needs to be enabled to get them sent to me?

I used to get them. I am not sure if they were on the z10 or not. In fact I am pretty sure they were on the torch I had.

Weather warnings are county based, so your current location is important. If you're not in a county containing a warning, then you're not going to receive the alert. I'm uncertain what happens if you travel into a currently warned area, if you get the alert or not.

Well, regardless, she lives in the same county. Same zip code. Within a mile. She gets them, I do not.

There is a setting to turn emergency alerts on and off in hub settings. Make sure they're on.

I get them -- we had a crapload of flood-related ones the last few days and I got them all.

I've had my Z10 on T-Mobile since March and have never had an alert either. I guess it will go off when real $h!t hits the fan.The alert (I call it the get out of dodge ringtone) reminds me of that scene in the film "Knowing"! Lol I wouldn't want it going off for nothing either...like the phone who cried wolf.

I just got one of those once with my Curve 9310 around last Christmas when I went to Ohio. It was a blizzard warning, got it literally in front of the airplane door when I got off.
