Just got the ota. Go get it

Who's impressed by T-Mobile? Ahh this guy!
I'm doing the update right now. They don't even sell the phone (in the states) but they have put out a nice Z10 app (the Web page works great to) and they have pushed the update. How impressive is that? Now if they would just release the phone to the general public.

I got this too.
I'm a little disappointed that the T Mobile app is an android port and does not seem to work. It can't access my account.

Danger! Danger!
I had updated my Os initially over the Web using the "Remove the Sim" trick. After I did that my Hot spot worked.
I just did the OTA T Mobile update. It was only 18 mb. Now, I have no Hotspot
It just takes me to a subscription page on any connected device.
The bad stuff is in the carrier specific updates! I have A Rogers sim on the way and I think that will correct this issue.
I think Att users have the most to lose because they will probably lose bridging with Playbook.
Beware!

Has the update killed anything for anyone else???
Mine is showing as 150 mb as I never did the trick to update the os by pulling put the sim.
I want make sure before I do it.

Check BB Protect. Mine was turned off...again. This may have been the update or, it just shut itself off...again.

Just got mine. It was a 2MB download and said it contained battery improvements.
I'd forced my update earlier, so I was on .672 OS before the update.
My T-Mobile app works fine as well.
Never had the hot spot feature work as it would always take me to the T Mobile landing page. So don't see a difference.
Funny, all this time I thought I had the latest OS and hence great battery life...but the battery was just 'meh'... Lets see how it goes today after the update.
Did anyone notice that the phone didn't need a restart after the update?

I did the T-Mobile update last night, 152mb, they did not ask me to pull the SIM. I am running an unlocked z10 STL100-3.
With it came the My T-Mobile app so you know they are locking down the provisioning pieces now. Just checked and I can turn my Mobile Hotspot on but within 30 seconds it tells me I need to activate a Mobile Hotspot plan. They also pushed out Slacker Radio.
I am curious as to what else I don't want that they pushed out....?
I guess this is a positive sign that T-Mobile is getting ready for a roll-out, just didn't want the bloatware. - 03-06-2013, 07:28 AM #14
Same for my unlocked Z10/Tmo/Daily Prepaid in US. Dropped .85 OTA at 18 MB, installed a barely or non-working Tmo account management app which must be a port or beta from the carrier. Support links toss you to tmo website and no mention of Z10/Q10 just os 7 devices. I don't mind being a beta tester as this is pre-release, **** i even bought a Playbook at launch, i'll suffer anything. TMO section on app store (why would i want this?) still only has 3 games in it.
Nicest enhancement i caught so far is it looks like the Hub pull down agenda is looking forward beyond just the current day, run-time seems snappier for sideloaded apps, as does the keyboard, calendar, contacts right side alpha scroll also seems like an update for tap and scroll (very nice). - 03-06-2013, 07:35 AM #15

Will the ota wipe everything?

I assume that T Mobile is launching with 10.0.10.85 then.

Strange, I checked for updates again and found another smaller update (2GB or maybe 2MB) update. Installed it.

I noticed that also. The phone didn't restart. It just added the My T-Mobile app. Which obviously is an android port
